Just ‘cause some think all of the comics are terrible, doesn’t mean it is, or that everyone has to feel that way. I don’t love every issue either, but I think it’s had some pretty good issues.
Heck, some former bronies think the show went bad after Season 2, (And not just because of the “Twilicorn” thing.) and think we’re odd for still enjoying the series. Everyone has different opinions about Pony.
To quote a fellow:
“It’s like saying you enjoy listening to someone singing completely out of tune or reading a book whose pages are covered in brownsauce; I know it’s your opinion, but your opinion is just wrong.”
Actually, they’re pretty good. Opinions, you see.
Fans are terrible in regards to making good things once they have been given direct control, in no small part because mobs are quite erratic and prone to falling into the most base and idiotic opinions without warning. It’s the same reason football games don’t have the fans deciding who gets changed into the field, or why internet polls aren’t considered too useful for any serious anything.
Pandering to the fans? To us? How is that bad?
Well, the antis are in good company, then.
Oh man, “damage control”– every time I see that ignorant jackass self-identifier now I think of antivaxers and laaauuugh; it’s like there’s some kind of buzzhole somewhere online where dipshits stick their heads to fill up on catchphrases so they don’t have to bother thinking of new words themselves.
I thought that was Return of Kings. :P
this is also a pretty cute and funny image, really a shame drama in the comments keeps happening for the flimsiest reasons ever.. :/
and for anon, eat a snickers.
I never said it was bad (I’ve never even played it lol), I’m just curious if it actually started as a joke or not.
Apparently the whole item / bestiary checklist (where you need to find every single item / enemy to fill them out 100%) started when one developer bet another that “no gamer would ever sit down and fill that out just for the hell of it”. (Keep in mind that was a 4Chan rumor, so take it with a grain of salt).
Maybe, but I couldn’t tell you how many great game ideas came about like that.
Honest question: I heard that Panderia started as a prank done by the developers. Now don’t attack me, that’s a legitimate question. Is there any truth to that or is that just a rumor?
… Pandaria wasn’t that bad, guys.
It’s a race from Warcraft, right?
Oh, it would have, people would have been retarded sooner and got banned, or considering it was just me wondering I would have learned and not given a damn about anyone or anything else here.
As if coming right out and saying why some in the fandom hate Katie Cook with a white-hot passion would have prevented the (so far, fairly mild) drama, instead of giving it a slightly-different spin.
@Background Pony #FD36
“Damage control” is the new buzzword; got it.
As I remember, for being a shitty writer (of adventure stories at least) and going full damage controll over it. Can’t recall anyone hating Katie because of her art.
Oh wow, I got texas. Say something stupid and fun-
>That whole post
You are a master at this.
@The Smiling Pony
I did warn that being all sly about the matter would only cause shit to happen.
You know, if you supported your argument, I might treat it as something more than one Anon’s opinion. Why do you think IDW is a shitty company? Questionable corporate practices? Frightful human resources policies? Or are you just conflating dubious comic storylines with poor management?
