But let’s not forget the Packs of Timberwolves that he solos and/or outruns, the Harem that he starts to build up, the “Random NEW Villain From Earth That’s 1 Step Ahead, Yet Gets Beaten Because Of Convenience, But Manages To Escape For Continuity”, the “Suh-thern Ahk-Sint” that the writer feels the need to MISSPELL for Applejack, the “Loverboy Becomes An Alicorn Moment”, and the promise of a sequel that, 9 times out of 10, ends up either scrapped or forgotten.
 
And that’s just the icing on the cake! Wait until we get to the “Pony On Earth” Section!

I, too, would like to see a “X in a Nutshell” comic series for stories. At the moment, this artist only has one other, relating to percieved gender and orientation dynamics/ratios.

Actually, I’d love to see more of these talking about other overused stories in fanfiction.

Good things to avoid when I’m working on my own comic series, I guess.

but this is the good stereotypical human in equestria story. most of them have the human as some kind of military man who knows 97 ways of killing etc, and most of them ignore cliche romance and making friends but instead have the human spend the entire story snarking at the mane 6 while they hilariously fail because they’re just silly ponies not humans, and in most of them the dialog is all overly specific flat faced barking lectures at each other, as the author reveals he has no idea how two people are actually supposed to interact. the ones that do have pony tf are almost always at the beginning and either have amnesia or the characters just being random and not reacting like someone thrown into another world/body.
 
and most of them don’t even have kinky human or post-human on pony sex.

Hit the nail right on the head on this one. That is pretty much the general format of these things.

It’s kinda true for most stories, although there are a few exceptions.  
This is kind of offensive in way but, ya know… not overly either.
