Drawing someone tripping over their shoelaces to “oh you” is funny, but if it is done every time it could get boring. That is why I tried something new so it would not be stale.I could have just made another Trixie screws up the dress order comic, but I felt like trying something different. From the reaction it seems it failed, but that just means I will move onto the next one knowing that an idea like this doesn’t work.

The characters are almost all dicks to one another on occasion. I can see Rainbow Dash doing this much more easily than Spike.

Yeah, I can see Spike doing this. He’s a dick to almost everyone except for Rarity, and, surprisingly, Fluttershy.

It can be funny. The scene where Chevy Chase ruined the ballet his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend were watching was probably the funniest scene in “Modern Problems.” (Not that “the funniest scene in ‘Modern Problems’” is really a tough hurdle to clear. But unlike most of the rest of the movie, it actually was pretty funny.)

As a connoisseur of fanatical fictitious fiction myself, I can safely say people have very, very, very different takes on Trixie, both painting her as a misunderstood mare with a heart of gold, and a jerk mare with a heart of uranium, and anywhere in between.
 
She’s not exactly a fleshed-out character, and leaves a lot of room for interpretation of her actions.

I was rather dreading the moment this fandom started to blow up to bigger and bigger and bigger for that exact reason.
 
Though something tells me that the thorough staff axing and shuffling after the end of Season 1 had the biggest effect. Change the chief in charge, change the show, right? Not necessarily true in fact, but it’d be a logical conclusion for lack of consideration to any other factors. In reality, who knows.
 
Fans still seem to like the whole kit and kaboodle… Enough to rack up quite a lot of bills for Derpibooru to have headaches over, anyway.

Yes, the previous ones have Trixie failing because of some comedy oversight or over-the-topness of her own. This one outright makes her the victim of someone else being an asshole. Rather different change in theme/tone.

I was just going to leave it at one comment and move on before people actually wanted to talk about this. Also, people didn’t know if they could change that tag because you in particular put it there. So it made it worse.

I think the worst part of this is that it has the same title as a different, so much better comic that may or may not get updates later…

And you’re the one bringing up tag changes. I only changed and added that one _{for the lulz} given declaring “out of character” is rather subjective; I didn’t expect it to stick for more than a few minutes.
