You know, I don’t think it’s completely true to say Twilight “showed her the way”, at least not directly. Twi was largely responsible for rescuing Sunset from herself, but it was Sunset who really threw her all into becoming a new person, and it was the other five who were willing to call her a friend… er, well, they made an effort in that direction, anyway. Their actual forgiveness of Sunset was almost as much a process for them as Sunset’s reformation was for her, but I digress. The point is, Twilight didn’t do a whole lot of direct mentoring of Sunset.
She’d also admit that she needed Twilight to show her the way before she could start. (If anything, she might overestimate Twilight’s importance and underestimate her own progress.)
“Acting” has nothing to do with it. Rub that salt out of your eyes, little one.
Then if his opinion is valid you have no reason to say anything about it or seem defensive of the other person who hates Twilight. Don’t act as if you’re taking the moral high ground.
That comment was made half a year ago. Besides, your opinion is no more valid than his.

I’d agree. Sunset bungled badly, and one of the consequences is that she has a long ways up to go; but I think she’d be the first to say that it’s only fair.
To be fair, they have both plunged a city into chaos. Just that Twi didn’t mean it!
Real nice touch with the crown, that the new one’s on her head and the element’s pretty much the same but now must be neck worn.
Are you comparing the endpoints or the distance? It could be argued that Twilight hasn’t “come as far” because she didn’t have as much in need of changing in the first place.
I want to fave this for Shimmercorn, but I can’t because of double-Ascended Twilight. So no upvote.
Hell, Sunset’s come a longer way than Twilight has. And yet Purple-“smart” gets the Celestia-style here? No. Forget that. Shimmercorn > Twilicorn.
