Yes, I think it’s wrong to switch to Linux. I also know that I can’t ban Linux from my country, or even my home town. That would be a dictatorship, which is what I aim to avoid.

You are fighting what you see as something leading to socialism by saying it is wrong for people to use there right to choose and that with a from of dictatorship if people can’t choose.

There are plenty of things that are free – air, for example. But air isn’t made by a company. There is no “Oxygen, Inc.” to ensure all of our air has the necessary ppm of O2. Ubuntu, Debian, Gentoo, Mint, Fedora, and openSUSE are all made by companies. By just giving it away, these people are saying, “No, we don’t need you’re money. We know how much you love free stuff, so take as you please. It’s your right to have this, and you shouldn’t have to pay for it.” AKA, one of the very tenets of socialism and communism.
 
And again, socialist doesn’t automatically mean dictatorship. That’s just what ends up happening because of how easy it is to corrupt the system. There could be a socialist leader that is more anarchistic and “for the people” than most other socialist leaders claim to be. I’m not afraid of socialism, I’m afraid of corrupt leaders, which is why I want to stop socialism before it starts.

Well for one what you are saying about people using Linux being socialist is no more socialist then then how things are, so your argument is that free choice is wrong “a socialist tech term for ’free’, a synonym of ’socialized’” and I don’t know where you live but I live in the in the USA and “free” doesn’t just mean ‘socialized’ so it’s NOT socialism, but if a “free” open-source OS is socialist just for being free then how is there so many thing that are free that are not part of socialism?
