Yeah, when you say “Transformers”, if it isn’t Optimus it’d probably be Soundwave.
Yes, but people tend to think of music more when they remember “the tape-deck guy” than “one of the car guys”. That & Soundwave is more popular than most other Transformers, the “robot voice” certainly helped him be remembered.
People basically use Soundwave more often because more people remember him.
But…but Jazz? That’s an even more music-oriented name than Soundwave, or Blaster, for that matter.
I’d also argue his visor resembles cool shades, and his primary colour is white with eye-catching blue and black here and there. Plus, he’s a cool car with built-in speakers and a light show.
Probably because Jazz’s connection to music is less obvious than Soundwave’s.
