This thread has become so polluted with retorts and sarcasm…I should have just ingnored the first user that rudely critizied me for saying my piece and just been happy I got my perspective out. Would have saved me and this thread a lot of headache.

Whatever bird that's dumber than a duck. Imagine I made the effort to research that and make a new badge for it. - Either a complete retard or a full time moron, it's hard to tell which and frankly I don't care either way

@Archonix
But you expect me to feel guilty for something you’ve excised from history. Or perhaps more accurately, to not do something you’ve made sure that nobody knows I did. I said something offensive, yes I get that from the fact you deleted my entire comment, but what did I say? How would I know? How would anybody know?

Did you even see the movie? That was THE Sunset part. It’s like heresy you don’t recognize like it lol, unless there’s something I’m overlooking.

“So here you are trowing every argument in the book.Pretending that your sarcasm laden quote of two sentences was in fact a brilliant masterpiece that counters every argument I had perfectly.”

I want to be the me you think I am. I wish I had that level of faith in myself. But I’m not, and I’d rather you not try to build me up as some great evil force to conquer in your own mind. It makes these kinds of conversations awkward.

“First off what are you saying about the of dialogue here is it brilliant, is it bad, is it so-so?”

In this comic? The dialogue is terrible, as far as dialogue goes. But as an intended love confession from one socially awkward adult pony in a teenage human body to another one and the idealistic response, I think it’s to be expected. I mean really, it flows more naturally than any actual conversation Twilight has with Flash, who she canonically has these feelings for. I’m not sure what you wanted out of this. Modern Shakespeare?

“Otherwise all your saying “Well it might work for other people” well I say would it work for the established character in this position? I think not.”

I think it’s at least as likely to work out as any canon relationship. Then again, the bar for that is pretty low.

“That’s my point the “romance” seems poorly structured and expressed and in this comic.”

When is it not?

“And then you say I’m just not understanding your brilliant sarcasm,”

If you had indicated to the contrary, I would not have said as much.

“and if you think a romantic relationship is less stressful than a friendship… well now your just speculating on how this would actually work.”

I didn’t say it was less stressful. I said it was less relevant to the characters. It’s also less relevant to real people, in case you’ve missed all the hints that romance is dead in this world, or might never have been real at all. Friendship on the other hand is a very big thing everywhere.

“Because the characters here love friendship…so naturally random sudden romance Between characters than have know each other for less than a week is no prob.(the fanatical shippers view I see.)”

Have you not been paying attention to any of the canon relationships we’ve been shown?

“Thats not even my real beef, its on how the scene now was a poor time for them to profuse their sudden love to each other.”

Really? A time when they’re both together, alone, at night, and have learned of the similarities of their situations and dispositions is a bad time to express love? What would you call a good time? Bumping into each other in a crowded high school hallway? Coming down from an intoxication that basically forced a grisly parody of the very notion of romance on the two partners?

“Once again I stress sarcasm is a poor medium for an argument so I could only assume that you were against my argument somehow but without any reasons or clear points I could only see your comment t as some random criticism out of passion than nay reasonable grief.”

Run-on sentences are a poor medium for communication of any kind. Anyway, I’m only going to address your second and last phrases because they look like the only ones with your point. Yes, I am against your argument. And no, my criticism is of your argument from passion. Any claim you had to “reasonable” anything, let alone grief, was sketchy at best up until your recent posts, at which point it was lost entirely.

“I wasn’t aware you saw your two sarcastic sentences as “perspective…[excised]”

I was talking about my bias. I even said as much. That sentence was not sarcastic. And if you weren’t aware of that, what exactly did you think a bias was?

“Oh and ye i do find it different as one I had clear points to argue and two I had more than two sentence.”

Your points might have been clear, but your writing style is not. Also, quality overrules quantity, almost every time. Just because you can barrage people with a block of poorly-written sentences, that doesn’t make your argument any better.

“Once again I say what bother me is how poorly I feel this scene would work for the arrangement the artist place in it.”

Yes, we get that. That was the net sum of your argument. The vast majority of words you spent not clarifying this perspective only diluted your already-weak point.

So here you are trowing every argument in the book.Pretending that your sarcasm laden quote of two sentences was in fact a brilliant masterpiece that counters every argument I had perfectly. I wasn’t aware you saw your two sarcastic sentences as “perspective that can only be substantiated by anecdotal evidence and personal experience, and therefore cannot be justified in a way that people without similar experiences can understand?. Oh and ye i do find it different as one I had clear points to argue and two I had more than two sentence. You calling me a jerk for having critical comment of this pretty much shows exactly where you are on this. I have given my reasons for why I find this comic awkward(in sense a “philosophy”).Some might even say it is constructive critism since the artis(who is a good drawer) could try to flesh out his shipping scene better and find more opportune scenes for this stuff. And yes you pretty much did say “the artist made it so enjoy it” I find that a childish view, critizing others for finding this picture or another stale,generic and if not for the nice artwork pretty unsubstantle. Becuse thats essentially what I said. Unless you want to counter me on those points here…
As for filtering,as I said I have my likes and what’s I don’t like and I expose myself to them all to see them,understand them and learn so to avoid ingnorance and be able to backup my views with experance. Rather than hideing things that might upset to keep an isolated view of my interest.

@Antonyourknee
“Do you have an argument to say or you just reviewing my comment?”

My argument is that your point can be easily defeated by pointing out that other people have different understanding of how love and sex work. Especially when, as I’ve joked before, the latter is just being used to vent steam.

“Becuse you haven’t said anything to disprove my perspective so I’m just getting confused trying to figure out your point.”

You mean, I haven’t said anything that you can understand disproving your perspective. Sarcasm is apparently lost on you. My point is that a new love could not be significantly more stressful than a new friendship, especially when the characters involved are from a world where friendship is taken significantly more seriously than love. Oh wait.

“Besides the obvious bias that’s not backed up,justified or explained in any way.”

You mean the “bias” of my perspective that can only be substantiated by anecdotal evidence and personal experience, and therefore cannot be justified in a way that people without similar experiences can understand? Is this in any way different than the statement I responded to directly with it? If you think so, then you’re either stupid or a hypocrite, or both.

Well first of all I stated that I found this image to have high quality art so I have nothing against the Artist’s effort. Second I explained why I Was botherd by this images concept in my last comment which you apperntly paraphrase to find my most strongest sentence which though I know would seem aggressive as word but in fact means to say how this images idea(them turning,around hesatantly before saying unconditional love to each other)seem out of place in the scene the author chose for reasons I already explained. I feel calling me a jerk and giving the argument “the author made it,so enjoy” is pretty weak and lacks real resons to course me to see it that way as well as being quite rude.
