There really are people who care, so they say “You’re doing something stupid. Stop that or you’ll hurt yourself.” when appropriate to do so. Calling someone stupid not to deceive but to point out an error is not really an insult.
But there have been cases where people rejected the advice and went on and got hurt anyway because they refused instruction.

Also, it’s “Should have”, not “Should of.” Should of is grammatically incorrect and I can’t for the life of me understand why people keep using that phrase.
