Rarity (albeit she had some blinders and bias on the subject) believed him to be charming or at least gregarious and available before the Gala. We see later that she gets a bit… worked up about her potential love interests, like Trenderhoof, following them obsessively.
Blueblood is likely pretty charming and civil… towards the ponies he actually spends most of his time with and who thus write and/or form most of his press and public image. How else would he have the positive reputation Rarity fell for?
Maybe he has a higher opinion of the two.

No. I’m just referencing how he’s just calm around them. Most poeple would just draw him acting high and mighty all the time. He’s just speaking calm and respectful.
Even if this is just a fan comic, it makes me wonder if Blueblood did change after the Gala because we see he was with Rarity and they got along fine or the whole thing was just a facade.
Well, Blueblood isn’t exactly an outward jerk, persay…so hes probably a decent conversationalist, just when it comes down to it, all he cares about is himself.
