I don’t see why not. AppleSpike is a compelling ship, IMHO.

Since lots of people like to imagine Cadance as a shipper, shouldn’t there be a tag for it?

I just realized that they made the love poison… Maybe they don’t know their shipping as well as I assumed.

I’m pretty sure the artist was going for that at this point. If you look at the beaker Shining is holding, it’s clearly the same exact shape as the one Yzma and Kronk use.
 
Not to mentioned the white lab coats + black gloves.
