Oh, some of the villains are even worse about cheating. Stacking their decks, marking their cards, using fakes, stealing and destroying cards out of an opponent’s deck, slipping cards into an opponent’s deck, using devices to screw with the functionality of their opponents’ duel disks, and my favorite, printing their own special cards.
 
Half of the these duelists, if they went to Vegas, would probably be shot.

If it’s about not cheating then no YGO protagonist would make it into tournaments, no I’m exqaggerating, but there wouod be few. But you’re definetely right about what I tried to say and let’s be honest, Discord would be the latter.

That isn’t the difference between “not cheating” and “cheating”. That’s the difference between “cheating” and “flat out acting like there aren’t rules in the first place”.

The viewers knew from the beginning because he only revealed it to Yugi on the videotape. He is the one who created the game and he saw every duel until his match, you could make the argumemt he knew which cards because he already saw their decks, and being the first season, if someone came and said “He can see my cards because he has a magic eyeball” no one would’ve believed it.
 
Shining Draw is taking any card from your Deck with any effect you want even if it wasn’t there before. It throws all subtelty (What little there was) out of the window.

Yugi, maybe. Pegasus has no excuse. Looking at your opponent’s cards is flat-out cheating, even if you do it by reading their mind with a magic eyeball.

The Dazzlers? That’s easy; Melodious monsters. Their are even Melodious monsters with the same names as them.  
 
 
 
Plus this is anarchetype use by one of the current yugioh protags so they’ll be more Melodious monster (there are 8 right now)

Oath if companionship, and not really. If you have no monsters on your field that came from the extra deck, but your opponent does take control of that monster you opponent has till the end phase.
