Background Pony #A81F
@RainbowDash69
Female dominated world? Lol. I don’t claim to know everything about Equestria’s society, given that our only window into it is a cartoon, and neither does anyone else, but it certainly doesn’t appear to be the case if you actually paid attention to what we see of Equestria in the show, because in the show there are plenty of ponies of both genders with good careers and positions on an equal scale, and no indication of any sort of discrimination. The only observable thing you might consider ‘female dominated’ is the highest levels of government, given that all current alicorns are female; though that certainly doesn’t say that a stallion couldn’t ascend, though that’s for another discussion later. From the show, all other things in that regard appear egalitarian.
Some people think the gender ratio is unbalanced, and that’s what you might mean, but that’s definitely uncertain, given how the background pony crowds are filled with clones and other oddities, and are thus unreliable as any sort of proof; they could be considered evidence, but not proof. And the ponies are primarily monogamous, apparently, so I don’t buy it.
I think you’re just confusing popular fanon for actual canon.
But who knows for sure. I think that’s it’s only fair for us to conclude that there’s not really enough solid information in the show to make anything other than theories about Equestria’s society, so nothing can really said to be actually outright canon here, at least as far as conclusions go.
From what information I do have, I’m very confident that it’s gender-equal, but it’s still very possible that I’m wrong to some extent about something here, as I can never know for sure, and neither can you or anyone else. The only thing that can be said for certain is that again, there ARE ponies of both genders with good careers and positions in the show, and on a pretty equal scale at that.
