He immaturely didn’t like the part when after Sunset was defeated, Twilight cautiously look down at her in a craves, beaten and clothes slightly tattered. Twilight scolded her saying “You will never rule Equestria, any power you have is gone. Tonight, you show them who you really are, you show them what is in your heart.” Sunset while no having corrupt influence left and hearing Twilight’s words, She realize for the first time she made a grave mistake and didn’t know there was another way.
Twilight calmly explain to Sunset to seek out the magic but worn her if not, Sunset will forever feel alone feeling sorry for herself so Twilight gave Sunset a choice, meaning Twilight is hoping Sunset takes the right path.
Sunset however doesn’t what to think, ever she came to the human world on bad terms and drove everyone apart from her past actions and she doesn’t know the first thing about friendship.
Twilight now trusting Sunset and not going to stab the princess in the back, help Sunset out and entrust the human mane five to help as well as keep an eye on here since Twilight have to retrieve her stolen crown and return to Equestria before the portal back home closes.

My feeling is that while we have the Mane 5, and soon Twilight, and they’re all necessary to help defeat the Sirens, this is going to be a story more focused on Sunset’s redemption, as, reflecting on one of the final scenes in the first movie, Twi will be able to go back and confidently tell Cele that Sunset is doing just fine. It would be a sufficient strong story conclusion to anything EQG related (should Hasbro say “fuck that” to that line, though likely not) and close out Sunset’s arc.
