I think it’s a bit late for that when one’s “fetus” has already mastered speech. Poor abandoned supermutant’s liable to pull a Rusty Venture on Dashie.

She finds some loopholes here and there (she can float on a cloud) but is prevented from flight until after the birth and a recovery period. She even had to move to a special house on the ground.
Needless to say Rainbow doesn’t take this all to well, especially at first. But it all (would have) work out in the end.
Given that she can come out of a head-on crash with the ground with only a broken wing. I’m sure the foal is at least somewhat well protected.
