The van could be pointing either right or downward (though I concede you that it does seem to be tilting to the right). Given the weight of an engine block, downward would make more sense, but without a shadow we can’t tell for sure (and attempting to analyze the physics involved in a cartoon drawing strikes me as an exercise in futility anyway).
You were implying that horse pun was just made up when it’s old.
