Not to mention that other Dinosaurs (specifically the Triceratops) can be seen alongside the T.Rex/Allosaurus and the Stegosaurus. As far as I’m concerned, Triceratops came around during the Cretaceous Period, long after the Stegosaurus went extinct.

I like Night on Bald Mountain better, but only barely. Man but this was/is awesome.

According to Word of God it’s supposed to be a Tyrannosaurus, however they decided it looked better with three fingers instead of the correct two. However, this succeeds in portraying the creature as an Allosaurus, which actually lived alongside and fought with Stegosaurus. T. rex on the other hand lives 10s of millions years after Stegosaurus went extinct, thus a battle between a T. rex and a Stegosaurus could not have taken place.
 
That being said, the movie is awesome, and I spent many hours watching this scene as a child and loving the fuck out of it.
