“Seriously though, this is one of the most unbelievable cinematic experiences I have ever had in my life. The cinematography is heavily atmospheric (which is kind of ironic because there is no air in space); the film editing is masterfully executed and it cuts where it needs to and nowhere else; the music and sound design are just jaw-dropping incredible; the acting is heartbreaking; its beyond words.

This is one of those movies that come around every couple of years and it rocks the way movies are made, seen and appreciated. I am so lucky to own a copy of it now!

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to get rid of all this trash thats floating around. Where did all these statues came from?”

‘The Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ is truly a remarkable book. The introduction starts like this:

“Space,” it says, “is big. Really big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the street to the chemist, but that’s just peanuts to space, listen…”
….In the entry in which it talks about dying of asphyxiation thirty seconds after being thrown out of a spaceship, it goes on to say, that with what space being the size it is, the chances of being picked up by another craft within those seconds are two to the power of two-hundred-and-sixty-seven-thousand, seven-hundred-and-nine to one against

I have to say having watched this film it moves at a good pace I thought I about oh Twenty or so Minutes into the Film. Where the reach the Space Station. Turns out it was like just over half the Film…. :7

The ending however was IMHO simply stupid… And, let the rest of the Film down.

Oh yeah for I forget

I found it entertaining but good GOD the symbolism is SHOVED down your throat.
“oh she hears a baby crying on the radio!”
“oh look she’s curling up like a fetus!”
“oh look the water is getting in the ship!”
“she’s rising out of the water to come on land!”
“what REBIRTH could this REBIRTH movie be REBIRTH trying to REBIRTH tell you about REBIRTH her REBIRTH experience?!”

My main issue with this movie is that…well, it’s complete nonsense for something supposed to cause visceral terror. If you get lost in space, it’s over! You lose! The odds of this chick even FINDING a piece of space flotsam on her own,,let alone one that works, is astronomical to the point of ludicrousness!
