this always confused me, how did Shockwave made the “Dynobots” into “Dinobots”. Did he scan a dinosaur or ……. um, how would I say it… carry a dinosaur to cybertron.

Not exactly how it works. While it is true that birds in general are descended from the theropod line, saying they’re descendants from T. rex is a bit of an exaggeration. The best candidate you wanna look for is Archaeopteryx.

True, I didn’t think of Microraptor primarily because of some main traits missing (such as the lack of wing feathers on her back legs).
