Yeah, she seems like she would have that whole “be totally respectful to ponies you like” thing going on. Isn’t there some famous Japanese celloist woman? I feel like whoever that is, that she’s an unconscious inspiration for Octavia’s fanon personality.

I would think there’s some motivation for her to be “dignified”, much like someone in those positions.
It just seems odd. Octavia may be a fancy musician but she’s still a pony capable of feeling other emotions. This particular panel depicts her as acting like a soldier or servant which is way off of how she would act.
