Description
You know how you get those awkward transitions during puberty? Well what if alicorns go through a thing like puberty in cycles all the time? Their manes get stuck inbetween the physical and ethereal states for a while. This is the real reason Luna vanished for all of season 1. She was too embarrassed by her bad mane year!
Yeah, i can kind of picture it X3
Though its odd they changed her fur too.
But…..luna is in her flowing state with darker fur in season 4 episode 1/2 back in time just as she turns nightmare moon.
So unless she went under puberty twice? X3
Sorry, i dont mean to do this, its just a tooic thats bugged me forever being a season 1 luna fan. X3
Yeah, I considered having her fur be all patchy between both colors, but I thought it started to just look ugly at that point. I wanted her to look awkward, but not ugly.
However i just pondered and thought i’d bring it up. Her fur/coat changes colour too :/
So that kinda throws alot out of the window.

I don’t see why it can’t be both? And I’m the artist, so I degree that it is.
