Spike, being the hero of the Crystal Empire and a friend, would do all he can to cheer her up and help her get over her loss, and it would eventually lead to this.
Oh, I’m fine with most ships existing. But shipping this only happens with tearing a hole in the canon ship by saying that PC and SA’s relationship isn’t fulfilling (CANON VIOLASHION!) or they’re unfaithful (CANON VIOLATION!1!). My exception is ships that leave port firing at other ships, some of which I like.

Well, call me biased, since Shinedance is the closest thing to my OTP and I don’t like when people don’t treat it as CANON. I mean, they depicted an entire two-part special that ended up with the two married, which to me seems like a lot of shipping fuel. And then apparently, they live together, which must provide a lot of sexual tension. I just don’t get why people don’t ship them like I do.

True, but ignoring canon is often a mark of poor quality of the work.
I don’t think anyone really cares about canon in any tv or movie it’s all about who can ship with who be it same sex or opposite sex, if what I said makes me sound like an asshloe or rude I’m sorry thats not what I’m trying to do just Trying to stat facts about the Internet and its way to ignore canon .

My point of contention is that Cadance is already in a fulfilling marriage. The only way to get around that is by making Cadance a jerk that cheats on her husband, Shining being a jerk that justifies Cadance cheating on her, or making it so Cadance and Shining never married, which all violate canon in their own ways. I’m willing to tolerate canon flexibility to a point, but not this far.

You obviously don’t know that Spike can be shipped with anyone.
If written well, you can make almost any relationship work.
