It’s mirror Trixie, so it makes sense in context.

If you dislike the concept of amirror universe, don’t beat around the bush. Just come out and say it.

mlp does episodic a lot better than shows before it. evne power puff girls, an awesome show as it was, truly reset each episode. literally there was an e;pisode about the girls seeing a future where they left and never returend and swearing never to leave. the next episode had their dad working in another city, he is self employed, and the girls bsaically breaking the promise of not leaving. literally made the prior episode never happen.

in mlp nothing feels like it is forgotten. the character have evolved, becoming better in their roles but not unrealistically casting aside theri flaws. true we sometimes have questionable scenarios, like bulk biceps not being able to fly despite it happening before, albeit it makes a bit more sense for him to have a hard time flying wit dem wings. yet we have yet, or hpefully never, have an episode completely contradict a previous one.

what mlp lacks in a continuous narrative it makes up with not forgetting its continuity.

the events of the show are never forgotten, at least not fully. so its peisodic. far as we know a full on month passes between discord’s attack and the very next episode after for example.
the writers are smart enough to keep things in check with their episodes. if you don’t you end up like spongebob. character making compeltely identical mistakes, rather than their personality flaws being the culprit, and totaly episdoes forgotten. in spongebob one episode can be about squidward wanting the weekend off, and the very next he somehow has sundays off for unknown reasons.

…………. its called be episodic. and they are not just forgotten. when the episode features pinkie pie bonding with the apples, the episode after does not have to directly reference it.

hell not even story driven seris like avatar constantly comment on wht is encountered in previous episodes. things are brought up when they have to………

also yes adventuring works in mlp but mainly it is slice of life and the adventures are saved for major events. fantasy world dude, fantasy world.

Pathetic Failure
@clockworkinsomniac
Adventure is not My Little Pony’s strong suit. Primarily because modern-day restrictions more or less ruin the potential for anything more epic than a mild inconvenience. Anything higher than that is easily solved then forgotten by the next episode.

So? A stained glass window is one of the most ostentatious ‘reasonable’ decorations there is. And its representing a concept which implies understatement. It could only be worse if it was a gigantic golden statue surrounded by spotlights. Truly i hope theres a window next to this one dedicated to whomever commissioned this - presumably they are the element of irony.

Speaking of them, im not sure where to begin. I dislike the chosen by fate aspect. I dislike their deus ex machina roots. I dislike how it almost seems like fate just chose five random ponies near Twilight to be her friend/allies and threw them at her via magic (because shes not allowed to fail at anything, and needs to make five incredible special friends literally in minutes). I dislike how some of them are extremely nonspecific, the worst offender being loyalty. And i dislike how they seem to exist in this weird nonspecific state where they are only important or known about when its necessary, then filed away for next time. Which is how Twilight is both the most intelligent incredibly most amazing pony in the world evurr!!!1! and also somehow unknown if the plot cant have her just wander in and say ‘oi, me and my friend have literally saved the world like eighteen times’.
Not that i dont like a show with some adventure, but the epic/high fantasy pedigree of the elements doesnt quite fit with the world they live in and the slice of life nature of the show, which would more suit a sword and sorcery style

Tl:DR - I enjoy the show most when its ponies being silly. I feel that the creators tried to have their cake and eat it to when it comes to adventure vs slice of life, and havent balanced well enough for me to ignore the awkwardness of it all.
(Yeah, im sorry for the text block. But.. ya asked).

It’s not like Twilight and the others asked for a stained glass window of their adventures either, you know. That was done by Celestia and the rest to honour them. Probably the same thing happened here.

For all we know, Alt. Trixie herself might’ve been mortified when she saw it.

And may I ask how the elements are an awkward part of the show?

Yuck.

Ive no interest in Trixie having humility. That pastel pony possessing such a poor personality is what makes her interesting. Trixie is Trixie, not fluttershy.

Anyways, the elements thing is a pretty awkward element of the show anyway. Id rather it not be brought up.

Though, as an aside, this seems amusingly lacking in self-awareness. A ridiculous over the top stained glass window is meant to represent humility?

No, in this universe, they’re brave young squires who aided pre-alicorn Trixie in vanquishing the Ursa Minor.

Snips and Snails must be the masterminds of the evil alicorns if Trixie is the alicorn of humility.
