I am offensive and I find this comic brony!
I wouldn’t waste your breath. I’ve been using that same argument and all I get are obsessive Celestia bronies whining about how their waifu.
makes her more human maybe, but why is that always regarded as just a good thing almost without question?
I’m not saying being more relatable is bad, I want characters to be relatable, but I’d also want them and their defining personalities to not be turned into play dough at the cost of more humanization, because there’s no point in them showing more human traits if none of them make any sense with each other.
@Niggoslav_Krawczyk
are you saying that’s not entirely reasonable? you’re a effin’ pedo if you do.
What if I told you I liked this story because I thought it made Celestia deeper, more “human” (so to speak), and more relatable as a character?
As Elsa would say:
Let it go! Let it go!
It’s just a kid’s show!
Let it go! Let it go!
No need to get butthurt!
You need to learn
to just roll with it.
It’s not that major!
The fan works are better anyway!
:( ok… I’m sorry. Please forgive me.
Dude, you need to take a step back and calm the fuck down. You’re getting way too worked up over nothing.

yup. I too liked that one moment, but like I said, season 1 opener seemed to infer more things about her than just merely helping, things such as making up a plan and influencing some things for the best without actually stating what those things are. I feel season 3 tried something similar, but that one kind of blundered horribly imo, with her lesson set to being too stupid to fall for in the first place..
either way, yeah man, don’t worry about it. Anyone that starts anything on us will have a talk with me first, I ain’t called “toxic” for nothing.
But it started as soon as she left. She helped even when all seemed lost against discord but ever since then they’ve just treated her as more of an obstacle and a punching bag.
And taking a break has hardly helped because it just starts up again as soon as I come back… :( I don’t know what to do…
I doubt I can answer you that mate, it could mean literally anything. Don’t let the shitty fans project your perception of the show writers as though they’re one and the same, they’re not always right about where the writers will take the show next (much as I honestly don’t like the show as of now and stopped watching it myself).
That’s all I can say about that, even if I don’t feel that strong about the writers. Jumping to conclusions like that is not going to do anyone any good and I’m sure it’s much more complicated than “they hate her”, because the same kinds of problems affected many of Lauren’s initial pitch ideas for the show, not all great, but most of which could have had unprecedented results, much like the show itself was an unprecedented, overwhelming success.
@ARchy4288
this is why I say you gotta relax, if you don’t you’re gonna have this kind of depression. It’s not wrong that you feel depressed over how fucking shitty the fandom can be, it’s just very bad for you and your health to do it on top of not being worth it in the slightest, because these people don’t even know they can cause this much harm with just being little assholes, they’re no psychology experts.
look, if you want you should get some fresh air and get your head cleared for a while, I’ve been put down myself, but I feel listening to some good music to remind me some great things that I can enjoy in my peace helps me a lot to recollect my thoughts and not break down into an angry rant sometimes, like I used to not so long ago.
“One thing that I do know is that the show will never do it, 4 years is a pretty long wait for Celestia to do not just something, but literally, Anything at all.. because even those small moments amount to absolutely nothing that can tell you more about Celestia alone, probably the only exception being the season 1 opener, where her actions seemed more focused with the narrative and how she had a hand in helping with the situation, without involving herself directly in it. Everything else after that point was her being too useless to do much of anything at all.”
It’s because they hate her
see, this is why I hate good bronies myself. They make you think that just because you’re capable of feeling other emotions, they’re not genuine on account of not being the same as their own.
You feeling this way over Celestia isn’t just making you a waifu faggot, or something other that they would like to name it, it just means they don’t understand this sort of thing because they’ve never been involved or even bothered themselves with understanding what it means to be Creative and Create stuff that an audience can enjoy. There’s an innumerable amount of ways for someone to get immersed into a story, that’s what is so great about story telling and why it still works even today after who knows how many long centuries.
if they scoff at everything you’re saying no matter how articulate you make the argument, know that they’re much worse off than you are, it’s something to tell yourself whenever you think they’ve gotten at you. They’re not right about you being wrong, if so, why the hell should you the one being shaken by their shit?
mate, I’ve seen enough bronies to know a good amount of the ones that don’t think can put you in a very bad mood, but it’s best to just mentally tell them to fuck off sometimes with that shit and maybe if you have such an opportunity, call them out on their bs.
so what you’re saying was this arc just like the show was part of them actively trying to diminish celestia she can’t be a keeper of harmony, yet the so called element bearers are far more flawed… But you know what it doesn’t matter I know my place in this fandom I know where I stand in terms of being pleased by these jerks and it’s them telling me to fuck off and die. So I will I fucking will
They hate celestia and are thus too fucking lazy to do anything but slander her. Fuck these comics fuck the show fuck the writers I hope they all lose their fucking jobs. Because they’re no talent celsria hating hacks…
Fuck it… I want to die I want to fucking die because they keep butchering her character and I keep feeling more and more alienated and nobody has ever resoectem my opinion and telling me I have no right to be angry when theyre double talking little shits. it’s boiling over and now I just want to fucking die…
@toxicitzi
So yeah I get it it’s not like I was depressed enough already about her portrayal in the show by the lazy showrunners but to see the comics do one worse and pander to the celestia haters in the fandom and to ship her with this bland flawless and no character Gary stu was just a sucker punch. It’s as if cook was calling fans like me a pathetic loser for being attatched to celestia and showing me that I can’t even fantasize because I’m an ugly disgusting loser. And the fact that she was gonna gather criticism and make fun of people who didn’t like the arc just show that both she and price are thin skinned jerks.
You probably think I’m stupid right now but you know what? I really don’t give a shit. The fandom hates her he writers of the show hate her and he comic wroters hate her. I think I should just FOAD nobody here in this “love and tolerate” fandom would give a fuck.
Yes love and tolerate unless you’re a celestia fan who sees her as your waifu then you need to haut shut up or fuckig leave because people like that are what’s wrong with the fandom.
Fuck it… Just fuck it… I’m fucking sick of this shit… Everything they do of celsria just makes her look worse and worse because they just don’t give a shit…
but whatever I’m stupid for disliking this because of the reasons I gave I see how it is… I’m too fucking stupid to have an opinion. Fine… Thanks for letting me know what I already did. I’m not welcome in the fandom. The comics alienate me and they don’t fucking care that they lost a fan. But they got their accolades by all the “popular” fans and others like me can leave if we don’t liek it… Well I’ll fucki go leave I’ll fucking leave. I know I’m not welcome here…
I want to fucking die right now…
There’s no evidence in the show itself that they’re following on the comics’ narrative, that’s my reason why I think comics aren’t canon regardless of what we’ve been told.
secondly, if it were presented like that, I would probably buy it, but it wasn’t. Brad was though, which you can plainly see in him playing absolutely no role into the story at all other than the romance itself.
To me, it seemed as though someone’s fantasy was being written, or love life? I doubt it was the latter, but anyway, it didn’t look like a half-assed attempt at throwing in romance for no reason, it just was half-assed in tying it all together and thinking better in advance what to do with Celestia as to not make her actions contradict her implied growth, but in not doing that, they painted a completely different picture than was inferred and it’s not that Celestia is too orderly to be harmonious anymore, she is and was always too flawed to stay a keeper of harmony.
Also, yes, it was very disappointing to me too that someone so dignified and strongly ingrained in such serious matters and high morals is so easily shaken and swayed by temptation, all of her qualities and personality seemed very, faux at that point, like there wasn’t even one genuine emotion in any of those morals she was upholding.
it’s really disappointing I guess if you think about it, but maybe they’ll have listened and make something much better the next time they have her center stage. One thing that I do know is that the show will never do it, 4 years is a pretty long wait for Celestia to do not just something, but literally, Anything at all.. because even those small moments amount to absolutely nothing that can tell you more about Celestia alone, probably the only exception being the season 1 opener, where her actions seemed more focused with the narrative and how she had a hand in helping with the situation, without involving herself directly in it. Everything else after that point was her being too useless to do much of anything at all.
But whatever I’m just a waifufag and this is “canon” so my opinion is automatically discredited as shit and I have no right to be angry and if I don’t like it I should kindly leave the fandom and hey, why don’t I kill myself while I’m at it.
After all I’m just a pathetic piece of shit for vein most upset about the shipping aspect of this awful arc.
I was saying the fact that it was more about her flaws than her wisdom was a big glaring problem. She can have flaws but they showed nothing to counterbalance them on top of that was a stupid and trite romance plot (yes I think it was just to take a shot at fans like me) and they made everything in the story her fault.
If you read one of my previous comments I said it could’ve been a mirrorverse of her own creation and the evil was her doubts and fears and she overcomes them through her wisdom and the love of her sister and teachings of starswirl.
What this arc was instead was just… Disgusting. Making her look like a selfish brat where everything was her fault and even saying that nmm was Celestia’s fault as well.
And I’m sorry but I honestly think that they just wanted to ship her to alienate waifufags like me. Sorry call me pathetic but there was no other reason for it.
sorry, but that’s a stupid reason to get mad at people for. If anything, highlighting flaws that have to do with one’s greatest strengths is one of the most realistic lesson for everyone to learn, as the saying goes, you are your own worst enemy.
the one thing worth getting mad at is if the flaw in her strongest quality was ignored in favor of another different type of flaw, one that done wrong (which it was) only took away from said character.
but that’s the others’ reactions to it, my point isn’t to say the comic is great or bad, I think it was at the very least trying something other than a mundane and equally as insipid story, what I’m saying is that highlighting someone’s flaws isn’t something to scoff at. That’s how character development happens, or in this case, some character depth for one character everyone’s been very curious about.
At least it’s better than the canon one in that it did honestly try to tell us something about Celestia, as Sunset was a severely wasted opportunity.
Some say it’s better to keep it all a mystery than to mess up and try, I don’t buy into it, I’m of the opinion that if you keep it a mystery for much longer than necessary, you have the effect of that initial interest growing stale, as well as the interest in that character, I would know, because Blizzard did the same thing for over 10 fucking years with their universe and you know what?.. it’s not better, it’s in fact much worse and I stopped caring 4 years ago so much that their story telling ability is so dead to me, it’s been buried deep into the ground already.
Geez that was so funny I forgot to laugh…
