Because companies like to do this thing called “expanding”. Hasbro is seeing good growth right now, and FiM has a fanbase worldwide. Now is the time to take risks and expand your market, it’s what smart companies do.
Who knows? either way you can always just you know, (Not) watch them.
I still haven’t watched the first one or the shorts and they have fuck-all impact on the show, so I couldn’t care less.
