I meant those artistic/genius/nerdy types, who always work and tend to forget to have enough sleep or eat properly. With Spike doing cooking and snapping Twilight out of her paranoia like in ‘Lesson Zero’ he simply keeps her in check. I guess he actually takes more care of Twilight than she does of him ^^

You wanna elaborate on that? Cause right now the way that’s worded has some seriously weird implications.
-She didn’t invite him to her birthday when she moved it to Canterlot.
-Episode with cutie pox where she ends up with Rarity’s mane and he looks at her with hearts in eyes.
~~Episode where he wakes up and says “you’re not mommy”
-Logic: How was Twilight supposed to take care of him if she was a little filly herself and at the same time keep up with her studies?
-Dragon Quest episode ~~ Spike is free to go away.
~~Twilight’s B.B.B.F.F. ~~ She doesn’t refer to Spike in similar fashion.
That said, their relationship isn’t specified. At most they might consider each other like brother/sister although even if this is so, their feelings can change in the future.
For all we know, they can be either simple close friends, assistant/boss or have something similar to family bonds…so romance is a normal possibility.
I’m not saying you are wrong with your perception, only that we all need to look outside of the box when regarding Twilight and Spike’s mysterious relationship. I personally like shipping them if Spike is older because that would mean they would stay together without anyone invading their lives and they do work well together. Spike is street-wise and Twilight book-wise… and besides every nerd/genius needs a keeper and Spike already has that role. Just be open to possibility. ^^
Spike’s been living with Twilight since the beginning of the show. She hatched his egg. You really can’t argue that they wouldn’t consider each other family.
Only in your headcanon, the show doesn’t say what their relationship is… and its not said they can’t enter romantic relationship as they aren’t blood related, just have a deeper, unspecified (so far) bond with each other.
That said, great picture, I absolutely love it! All my yes for best friends becoming something more!
