this image is 21 megabytes, because it was converted from .mp4 to .gif. The original movie at over 200% the resolution as this gif was 6.7 megabytes, including sound. Without sound, as gif has no sound, the h264 video is 6.2 megabytes, over 338% smaller than the gif. When I use ffmpeg to rescale the movie to the gif’s resolution of 576x324, the video is 2.4 megabytes. Almost TEN TIMES smaller than the gif.
 
yet gifs are allowed here, but uploading movies is not.
 
please filter uploads by maximum size not by format.
