Not to mention they refuse to play Christmas music on the radio, on the grounds that ONE employee said he has “bad memories”. How is making others feel good considered “bad”?
And they wonder why I refuse to go their picnics or talent show. Besides, I’m there to make money, not associate with people with disabilities.
A Banjo-Kazooie or Spyro style platformer would be a safe bet.
Bummer, but good luck with that.
I’m REALLY hoping to get a better job…I hate working at Wacosa, where they’re “training” me, but I feel like I’m a freaking janitor. And since Wacosa tends to people with mental disabilities, I can’t even say “freaking” as it sounds like a freaking swear!
(Shrugs) Things could be worse, at least I got a job recently. (Minimum wage, but better then nothing.) And living with family currently, which isn’t too bad.
Sucks to be you then, I guess. :/
I don’t think I’m really elligable for that kinda thing currently. I’d rather not get into it, but to put it bluntly, I’m practically poor.
What about waiting for your tax refund? That’s how I got my 3DS XL and New 3DS XL in 2014 and this year, respectively. I also got my Wii U in February 2014 from Nintendo’s website, refurbished.
Because I’m low on cash currently. Not everyone has 300 bucks to blow on new video game systems.
So…why not get a Wii U then?
Sorry, considering the 3DS is the only “current/next-gen game system” I own, it kinda bugs me the WiiU is getting all the good Virtual Console games, and such.
Not to mention Japan has more for their 3DS. (Like “Bubble Bobble,” which I’ve been waiting a long time for, and it looks like it’ll never get released here.)
Though, like us, their 3DS Virtual Console hasn’t updated sense last year with “Pokémon Trading Card Game.” So it’s not unreasonable for me to assume the 3DS’s VC is closing down, to focus on WiiU’s, and the NX’s.
Natsume even confirmed on Twitter Nintendo has moved on from Gameboy games for 3DS. (And it’s even been a long time, sense they released any NES or Game Gear games for 3DS.)
Still, admittedly I am happy the original Poke’mon game/s are FINALLY getting released on the 3DS Eshop (apparently, not under the “Virtual Console” label) with game link-up features in tact. So that’s something, at least.
Also, M2’s Sega remakes for the 3DS Eshop are quite good too. (Got “3D Out Run” from the Thanksgiving “Cyber Sale,” and it’s pretty well done, has alot of custom options/unlockables, and looks great in 3D.)
Actually, Nintendo’s not planning to replace the 3DS anytime soon. And who knows, maybe they’re saving the Virtual Console titles for next Spring.
Geez, be a little more optimistic, okay?
Nobody really does. Some speculate it’s a WiiU replacement, but it’s too soon for one, (and the WiiU actually isn’t doing as bad as some claim) but I think it’s probably going to be a new portable of some kind, and might be a replacement for the 3DS. (I have a feeling the 3DS is neering the end of it’s life cycle sadly, as it’s Virtual Console hasn’t been updated sense last year, which is a sign of this.)
Though Nintendo says it’s going to be more like a third system, and not really replacing either supposedly. We’ll have to wait, and see.
We’ll see. I don’t know what this “NX” is.
Unless they plan on bringing them to the NX too. I have a feeling the NX is going to eventually replace the 3DS.
Well, nothing we can do. It’s either Wii U or bust. :/
It’s a shame, though you’d think if they could emulate Gameboy, NES, and Sega Genesis software on 3DS, they could build GBA-emulation software (much like fans have done on a PC) within the VC games’ download code. (Though, those games aren’t as “powerful” as GBA software.) But it’s possible the 3DS wasn’t build like a PC to do that kinda thing. They’d have to probably build a GBA-emulator/program from scratch in order to run digital versions of GBA games, which could take some time to accomplish if possible.
Plus remaking games on 3DS doesn’t seem to be a big priority with Nintendo nowadays.
Though, M2 has done a good job bringing Sega’s games to 3DS’s Eshop.
(And they actually run on Sega Genesis emulation software within the game’s codes. There are some interesting interviews online on how they had to remake the old Sega games.)
Got “3D Out Run” from the Eshop late-November sale a week or so ago, and it was quite good.
Here, I’ll save you some time and link this to you: http://ds.about.com/od/nintendods101/fl/Why-Arent-Game-Boy-Advance-Games-on-the-Nintendo-3DSs-Virtual-Console.htm
I don’t see how that’s possible as the 3DS is a lot more powerful then a 32-bit GBA system, though there might be more to it then just “power.” (After all, they couldn’t bring Super FX SNES games like Star Fox & Yoshi’s Island to Wii’s Virtual Console, I recall.)
I heard something like they had to use DS software to emulate the GBA games on 3DS & WiiU.
The shortest answer is, the Nintendo 3DS’s hardware isn’t engineered to play Game Boy Advance games. As a result, the few GBA games available to Ambassadors aren’t emulated. They’re simulated.
Kinda weird considering they did release GBA games to the lucky few “Ambassador Program” 3DS owners. So it’s not impossible, or hard to emulate GBA games on 3DS. And the 3DS CAN play DS games. So I don’t get it.
I think it’s honestly, ‘cause they wanted to focus on the WiiU, and wanted to give player’s more reason to get said newer system.
Some sort of technical issues on 3DS.
Because there was already “Super Mario 64 DS,” and honestly, “New SMB” sounds snappier, then “SMB DS.”
I also find it odd, that GBA & DS games are on WiiU Virtual Console, but not 3DS.
Why couldn’t they just call it “Super Mario Bros. DS”?
Only ones they really do that with were the NewSMB games, (Which they only make one of for each console) and this Yoshi game, so I wouldn’t say they do it to much. And to be fair, it was to differenciate the DS NewSMB game from the remake “Super Mario Advance” series games, and let players know they aren’t full-on remakes.
Plus, this Yoshi game does have different levels/bosses, and such from the SNES game to be fair, so it actually is a new game, just similar to the old one. So it’s just about as much of a “rehash” as every other game sequel on the market right now.
Also, the only think rehashed in “A Link Between Worlds” was the overworld, and some of the enemies (some of which behave differently) as all the dungeons, placements of items, and such are all different. Even the overworld has some subtle changes to it, as well if you look around. The game actually was going to be a 3D remake of “A Link to the Past” originally, until they decided to make new dungeons, a new story, and such for it.
I will say it is rather odd the third NewSMB game is titled “New Super Mario Bros. 2.” So I will admit Nintendo tends to pick odd titles sometimes… (I even find it a bit odd what they call the new SSB games.) In fact, if you count the 3 Namco “Mario Kart” arcade games, Mario Kart 8 is actually the 11th MK game.
