Simply one of the best films of my childhood. Loved every single part of it! Never expected to see fanart of it though, especially not here.

Why not? Toby was a decent actor. Plus, a lot of kids had speech impediments when they were young.

Toby Scott Ganger (the kid who played Edmond.) did say “I’m all furry!”. He had a speech impediment back when this movie was made so its understandable that it would be hard to understand him at times. But I don’t think that’s considered to be bad acting. @Background Pony #61A1  
Well if you watch the movie, you’ll see the sun go back down as Chanticleer leaves the farm. My theory is that the sun in the storybook’s world rises for a bit, waiting for the signal to fully rise from Chanticleer. But because he was tricked into thinking that his crowing didn’t work, the sun went down.
 
Yeah, I overanalyzed this movie. I had an unhealthy obsession with this movie long ago before I became a brony. ^^;

And for those who hear the boy say “I’m a furry!”…you sure the kid didn’t flub his lines and he was supposed to say “I’m all furry!”?

One of my favorite Don Bluth movies next to The Secret of NIMH and The Pebble and the Penguin.

Honestly, the storm at the beginning, along with the boy’s transformation, frightened me when I was little.

Doug’s got a point, why did the sun rise without his crowing, and then later it DIDN’T?

I always kinda liked that movie.
