She intentionally uploaded a photo onto the internet, her original intent no longer matters after that because she has made the picture visible to quite literally the entire world and all of its inhabitants, unsavory ones included.
What she intended the picture to be doesn’t matter worth a damn now, anyone can do what they want with it and critique it however they wish. If she didn’t want this kind of attention, she shouldn’t have uploaded a photo of herself like this in the public arena.
@Background Pony #9FD9
She’s showing off her cosplay, not her boobs. You can’t hold her responsible for the actions of others when they want to pervert the pictures intent. She wants to defend her intent and is right to do so.
@Bhazor
For one thing I wasn’t specifically referring to this comment section, but I didn’t point that out so my bad; feel free to dive through her other pictures for examples of people “doin’ the creep.”
And frankly, I’d like anyone to say “is it just me or do her breasts look bigger than last time?” about a girl you’ve seen around in public where she can clearly hear you. Chances are it won’t go over well.
She should have kept in mind that when you post a picture on the internet, you’re willing to accept the consequences that come with it. If some creepo is going to make questionable comments about her picture, or should the picture show up on an adult site, there’s nothing she can do about it because you can’t police the internet
@Muffen-Man lets not start that kind of stupid crap, ‘k. It’s not a defense for pp, it’s not a defense for anyone else.
At any rate the choice of shirt still kills me because it looks like she’s not wearing a shirt.
This comment adventure started off very dangerous but then cooled down, in the in. The decent people won.
Also rarely see cos-pleh with a wig down so well, good job.
To focus on what’s honestly a pretty minor detail, have you considered dying a lighter coloured stripe into your wigs for characters whose manes include such stripes?
Given the paucity of detail in Coco Pommel’s design, it might be best to represent such a minor feature… Though to be fair, that would kind of leave you unable to use the wig for most other cosplays.
Unrelatedly, I think you may have wished to use a smaller ribbon as well; it looks nice when standing, but when sitting like this, it hangs somewhat strangely. If it were roughly half the size, it would still look nice while standing, and look better when sitting.
That said, your cosplay was well done! Feel free to disregard either suggestion if you consider cosplaying Coco Pommel in the future - they’re nothing more than minor suggestions to improve an outfit that’s already pretty good :) .
There was a HUGE overreaction to a frankly innocuous comment that sparked the usual “lol internet culture we have no tact TROLLFACE.JPEG” crapfest and back and forth.
Now, can we all go back to behaving like actual people and not retarded internet stereotypes, please?
No, that would presumably be Backround Pony AEC6, a friend of the cosplayer who took issue with some of the comments. Apparently, comments regarding her breasts have been a recurring issue, and her photos were recently uploaded to clopsites.
However, as I wasn’t actually here for what was said, and half of the thread was deleted, I can’t really say who overreacted, or in what way.
Some people did rather cross the line, though. As mature and levelheaded adults, we should hold ourselves to a higher standard than a teenager who’s been dealing with drama from this for a few days - whether or not she behaved appropriately, we should be able to do better.
Besides, it is tacky to focus on a cosplayer’s breasts, whether or not she minds.
