She doesn’t like Fluffle Puff because Fluffle Puff destroyed her blog in the Golden Muffin Awards poll. Of course, so did pretty much every other candidate.
Also, don’t forget, Hasbro/DHX has used common fanon names for characters like “Lyra,” “Octavia,” “DJ PON-3,” and such. So it’s not like they’ve never used a li’l fanon before.

Ok, if you guys don’t want to believe it, then that’s fine. Honestly, EqD was right about alot of things in the past, (and reported on alot of things before other sources did) and I don’t see why EqD would lie about that kinda thing, or what they could gain from it, if it’s some kinda huge evil “EqD conspiracy” that Sethisto, and his “evil group of conspirators” cooked up.
Obviously, Hasbro/DHX doesn’t go willy-nilly using fan ideas, or constantly monitor all fanart, (heck the writers aren’t even allowed to read fanfics) but I can see just the “concept” of them “being human” being loosely inspired by the fan community, (and that’s probably what Katie Cook meant) but every other idea about the controversial EG movie was likely just made up by themselves. (Like the High School setting idea, obviously to compete with “Monster High,” and such.)
@Beau Skunky
Just want to tell that, by that logic, we need both a rape movie and Luna is the woobie movie, because if we are to blame for something those two appear more often.
Which is to say that’s completely bollocks and the interview is very reminiscent of the whole “anonymous hacked the PSN, no, really”.
lol all I ever see that has to do with Pinkie Pony is the terrible things she apparently does. I mean..sure maybe it’s not her business to report people she doesn’t like just coz, but, in the end it’s up to hasbro right?
I don’t know, from what I’ve seen “Equestria Daily” has been a pretty reliable source overall honestly. (It’s where the rumors about things like “Twilicorn,” and such popped up.)
Still, as I said I don’t think that means EG was completely inspired by fanart/works, just the simple idea of having them being human for it.
@PonyPon
Well, somebody who worked on either the comic, or show (I think it was Katie Cook) said it was loosely inspired by the humanized fanart. So it was at least partly inspired by it possibly, but I could be wrong.
