I haven’t bought NX since Oct 2007. Though, I’ve bought $410 worth of it since starting the game a year before. Nowhere near as bad as some people.
 
I’ve gotten a bit of maple points since as compensation for sending tickets about my account breach.
 
And I love the core element of Maplestory, but not as much how it’s been handled.

Wish they would clean up the crusader codex. You can’t even complete the silent crusade set cause they removed three of those master monsters and I think you still can’t get the Coco card.

Hmm, haven’t heard anything from Southperry about that yet. I’m a victim of the old hacking spree some years ago(the one where there was a database leak). Occasionally someone will hop on my account again, leave me in the FM, but they don’t seem to take anything.
 
And along with Tamer, there’s that new Eunwol class.

I heard they also got rid of “secondary stat” requirements for all mainstream class equips.

If it is true. Then being a Thief type class just got a lot easier. Really, Thief equipment were prohibitively expensive for me all the time that I couldn’t even hold down a Thief job for even past lvl 40.

Don’t play those, but I was aware that there was an issue regarding that. I’m not sure if they got changed, but I believe a lot of problems with mastery books have been alieved.
 
Oh yeah, I think there was going to be a change to have books for unlocking skill levels for ANY class at a 100% chance to replace the current ones. I haven’t had to collect the books yet, but I know it’s a chore to get them AND have to do it again when they fail.

Is the Dual Blade and Evan still NX dependent? Are there any new classes with NX only Mastery/Skill Books?

At least leveling is FAR MORE easier than before the Big Bang. Before the BG, getting past level 40, to lvl 70, and let alone all the way to 120, took years for some. Even with 2x, 3x, 4x exp, you name it. Most didn’t even make it.
 
Now, I can get to level 70 in less than a day.

For me, the economy is screwed up and NX-less players like me don’t have it easy getting mesos. Duping, of course, isn’t helping. I am BEGGING for that auction house. I feel like I hit a wall whenever I reach 120, even though they changed 4th job to 100.

I’m liking what they did to Dark Knights now. Especially that skill where if you reach 0 HP, you get 10 seconds to kill up to 20 enemies to stay alive. Believe me, that tempted me to relapse on my Maple addiction. But I’m still reluctant to go back, as dupers and hackers are still prevalent like you described. They were the main reason why I quit.

I believe you need a korean cell phone to receive a text. Only reason I don’t have a KMS account. I took some time to learn how to type the korean characters.

If only we can have that system that KMS uses that demands Social security numbers to register. That would mean they would only have ONE account. Unfortunately, we share our servers with Latin America.

I was on Khaini for a long time, but I started my newer characters on Renegades.
 
There’s still hackers around. Always seem to find some at Magatia. Dupers still a huge problem, too.
 
Actually in-game now to check out the new patch. In an attempt to revert the stat and item menus back to the old design, they removed the ability to see your w.atk/m.atk. Lame.
