Or maybe they just, you know, actually find the comic more entertaining? Because Twilicorn already appears in comics anyway so I don’t think that would be the reason. It may have more to do with the cartoon being directed at children aged 3-6 (with occasional bonuses for parents), while the comics are more for the +7 range, so of course they will have more appeal to the periphery demographic.

Well I doubt Andy and Katie did their research for the SA arc. Like, who the actual author of Daring Do novels was, or like I’ll never get tired of saying… SHINING ARMOR’S PERSONALITY!!

The comic is EU and fits in continuity unless contradicted by the show, IIRC. Actually, considering that the people who make the comic are in contact with those who make the show, you essentially can treat them as in the same continuity.
even if the show is a lot more careful with continuity and implications than the comics are
