Part of the reason I liked that episode was the fact Pinkie actually realised, “Wait, hang on. I’ve gone too far now.”

I want to say that my wife and I love Pinkie Pie. We’re also in no way mad or anything.
 
During the episode, we were saying, “Shut up, Pinkie. Shut up, Pinkie.”
 
She was over the top, yup. As was discussed with funny friends, sometimes it really is possible to push too hard without realizing it. I’ve been guilty of doing it (and being on the receiving end of it).
 
I still love the episode. And Pinkie. :)

I wouldn’t say I hate her, just that I like her the least.

Hmm, interesting that this would come out right after this episode.
 
But, even when’s not being… tactless, she’s a character I both like and hate at the same time.
 
Notably, it’s the episodes focused on HER where I like her the most. This is where I think her personality and mannerisms work best, and sometimes there’s something much deeper than her normal attitude.
 
But in episodes that DON’T focus on her or focus on all the main characters, I don’t really like her. She’s obnoxious, and everything about her can get… grating. I mean, the amount of times she interrupts exposition with some stupid comment that isn’t even funny is mind-blowing to me.

Pinkie wasn’t at her most sympathetic in this episode. I mean, I’m certain she was supposed to be supportive or what-not, but took it much too far.
 
She’s like a friend that is fine if you hang out together every once in awhile, but you’d want to murder if you had to deal with her over a long period of time.

But wait! Does that also mean that liking Pinkie Pie makes you a good person? Because Megatron likes Pinkie, and nobody’s going to argue he’s good by any definition of the term.

I’m a huge Pinkie fanboy but even I was getting annoyed with her this episodes.

Kidding. I know it’s just one of Pinkie’s antics.

I think the key word is “hate”. I think one can easily dislike many things about her, but to truly hate her…you might have to be an awful person.

Studies show many studies are often proven to be wrong to some extent by later studies.  
Studies also show “just saying” to be helpful.

I only hate Pinkie sometimes.

I demand a full citation of all your sources, Professor Twilight.

I would have agreed with this a year ago.

I think it’s very possible to hate Pinkie and still be likeable.
