>episode flow is interrupted, most episodes only get solved in the last five minutes these days.
>What is ticket master?
>characterization is all over the place, and some characters get heavily flanderized. Pinkie Pie is the biggest example.
Elaborate.
>episodes now almost shoehorn in all of the mane six, rather than it focusing on three or four max to tell a better story like before.
Gee it’s almost like it’s an ENSEMBLE SHOW or something.
>there is little to no payoff with Twilicorn yet. so far all it looked to be was a cosmetic change just to sell more alicorn toys.
Without getting into the fact that we still have half a season left to cover that:
>Twilight starts acting more like a princess and starts getting
>Bronies: OMG RUINED 4EVER IT’S NOT TEH SAME!!!!
>Writers go out of their way that Twi’s still the same adorkable pony we love on the inside.
>Bronies: HURR DURR IT’S POINTLESS TEH SHOW IZ RUINED 4EVER!!!
There’s absolutely no winning with you people, so frankly there’s no reason for DHX to try.
>All of that falls on direction and story editing. Losing Rob Renzetti after Lauren left is what caused this, as it’s becoming obvious that Meghan isn’t as good of a story editor as she is a writer.
>Implying the show would automatically be better even if they were still around.
>Implying it’s impossible that they could fuck it up worse than you could ever imagine.
>Implying God-Empress Faust is infallible.
@PonyPon
Hey buddy, can you do us a favor and stop whining in every thread about how much you’re oppressed by the people who don’t hold your ridiculously high standards?
You’re starting to sound like a SJW, and it’s getting old as fuck.
@Background Pony #C159
Being fanboys and ignoring criticism does not make a fandom great.
But hey, continue with the ad hominems. There’s plenty of knuckledraggers around that will think that you’re making an actual point.
(by the way, I always thought that while she had great ideas, Lauren kind of sucks as an actual writer, so show runner should have been her sole position. I am not a Faust fanboy like CR!, just someone that wishes she stayed)
@PonyPon
Well if Moosehead wants to continue acting like a passive-aggressive baby, I don’t see why he should even be a part of this fandom in the first place. This fandom’s becoming worse than the Sonic fandom every fucking time something like this happens, I swear to God.
@MooseMcgillycuddy
Formerly great? There have been some good episodes recently and it’s formerly great? You really need to leave the fandom now because you’re just one of those whiners who worships Lauren like she’s fucking God.
@Background Pony #C159
Oh yes, I love when people come charging in, thinking that poor vulnerable Hasbro needs them to be a knight in shining armor. He was making some simple criticisms about the show. Guess what? He’s entitled to do that. Never did he state the show had to be exactly the way he wanted to be. But no, you just go on thinking you have the authority to tell people that they should stop watching the show or leave the fandom. Your no better than the constant whiners who feel everyone has to agree with them that the show sucks.
@Background Pony #C159
If you can debate civilly, great. If all you can do is shout variations of “shut up”, then you can follow your own advice and just ignore what you don’t like, in this case anti-EqG comments.
@Background Pony #A870
My whole point is that after season 2, after several key figures who helped make this show great left, things have not been all hunky-dory in the FIM front.
@Background Pony #C159
Like I said before, “Don’t like don’t look” is a bullshit excuse to avoid criticism of popular media.
And honestly, if all that’s left is caps lock welding fanboys like you are all that’s left, then yeah, I probably will leave.
@MooseMcgillycuddy
Hasbro and DHX are in no obligation to follow what you want. Just leave the fandom if this is going to be a problem. No one cares what you have to say. If they want to like the movie, then guess what, YOU’RE NOT GONNA CHANGE THEIR MINDS. Get used to it.
@MooseMcgillycuddy
I don’t really see how “episode flow” and “shoehorning in all the mane 6” really relates to avoiding the lame cliches of most cartoons targeted towards young girls; “flawed characterizations” could, if they were being portrayed in the cliched girly manner of most other girls’ cartoons, which I really haven’t seen. Twilicorn I’ll grant you, at least so far, but I really don’t see how that (or any of the others, really) has anything to do with Equestria Girls.
episode flow is interrupted, most episodes only get solved in the last five minutes these days.
