Aw come on! That was totally related to the pic and within the image rating!
We have a short problem with the breasts thing you mentioned… see, she’s leaning forward a hair, so those underboobs wouldn’t be visible.
I’m getting a lot of it form books.
Also I caught the breast bit.
Thanks for the links, they’ll be a huge help.
Her shoulder’s aren’t “too manly”–she’s just turned sideways a bit, but her shoulders are still drawn as if she’s facing us.
We should also be seeing a bit more of the underside of Celestia’s breasts and torso, since we’re looking at her from below.
Biggest problem with sunset is that her breasts are too high on her chest: they should hang lower from where they’re attached to the pectorals. That’s something else I have trouble with too, so here’s some hopefully useful links:

Congratulations on the perspective study! I’m really impressed that you found the center of the horse so accurately with only pencil and paper!
And I’d totally forgotten that trick for dividing the image into thirds.
One last thing: I think we see a bit too much of the top of the wooden horse. I might just have reconstructed the horizon line wrong and gotten the VPs too low, but it looks like
the lines lead back to a higher vanishing point, and here’s a zoomed-in shot (correct perspective lines in red, incorrect ones in blue, correction in green, and apparent mistake circled in pink).
You’ve come a long way in the last year, and you’ve got some fantastic ideas! Are you taking art classes, or are you managing to pick all this up on your own?
I think everybody caught all the other stuff anyway.
“(in relation to her body)”
That might be it. In the show Celestia has a head that is bigger then the average pony. In this she is keeping the bigger head on an average sized body.
I think I see it too.

Added to the notepad.
Okay, umm this is more a style thing but Celestia’s muzzle is a bit too long and pointy to me. Here are some different styles.

Something about the way you draw her face is a bit off putting. Sunset looks fine.
Her face is almost viewed from the sides, the lack of neck highlight that and makes her vertical angle also appear obviously wrong.
Caught those, but thank you.
I like it overall.
