Still loosely agrees with most other calculations.
oh no, now we only know that they’re approximately 4’ instead of their exact measurements. e.e
Pretty much. Stallions are typically come out at around four feet tall, and mares at around three feet six inches. Cheese Sandwich is probably no older than Pinkie Pie, but he seems to be a little lanky, the equivalent of a tall skinny guy like Weird Al.
They can account for perspective when considering movements and camera movement, but over short distances they seldom adjust for size relative to distance.
There will always be a horizon decided in the shot design. If they didn’t account for it at all it’d look weird. The horizon line I used was a typical choice for a short shot. It would look weird with any other horizon choice, given the puppets… just look in the bottom image. The perspective is skewed there for that reason.
Usually it can be ignored, but in a shot like this any perspective other than following that of the puppets (most logically horizon line at focal eye-line) would be visually detrimental.
Probably because I forgot to put the ‘s’ on Mounties. Anyways, it’s an Attack on titan joke.
You said something in German that made no sense (according to google translate), so I replied “what” in German.
Coming soon, on SyFy!
?
Yeah I take that back, I should say within a short object (perspective between the front and back) or over short distance, they don’t bother with perspective.
Even if they did account for perspective in this case, it’s not possible to account for it without some reference in the image. If you assume there is perspective then the final measurement is actually slightly, just slightly smaller.
They use perspective at all times, at least in some way. It’d be a cardinal sin of animation not to.
Don’t be daft.
Was?
They don’t use perspective 99% of the time, when they do you’ll know.
OH JEBUS.
Oops,
red lines to the right indicate his height
That wouldn’t be big enough for cuddling. When it comes down to it feet give the only reasonable heights.
That would be very little, wouldn’t it?
….ummm, so they’re 1ft 2in tall?
