A stone pelting incident targeting a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) branch occurred in the Chinhat police station area of Lucknow on Saturday, July 27. The branch operator, Yuvraj Prajapati, filed a First Information Report (FIR) naming 8 to 10 individuals from the local area as suspects. According to reports, the attack took place around 6 PM at the RSS branch located within the premises of Chhohariya Mata Temple in Chinhat, Uttar Pradesh. The incident raised concerns and led to heightened security measures in the area.

The Chinhat police are investigating the matter. The FIR reported that the accused issued threats to prevent the branch from operating. The suspects allegedly warned that they would not allow the RSS branch to continue its activities in the region.

      Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya condemned the attack, stating, that strict action would be taken following an investigation into the assault on the RSS branch. The move to enforce stricter laws regarding issues like these should be supported, he further said.

      This incident echoes a similar attack reported in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara where an RSS worker was assaulted by a group of people in June. Vijay Soni of the RSS said that an attack occurred during a branch meeting held at the park located within the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital premises. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police promptly arrived at the scene. They intervened and successfully diffused the situation by mediating between the involved parties.
