That looks like something I’d see in those old 2D Final Fantasy games as random encounters.
The FiM version looks more like a Sandworm from Dune.
Apparently, this monstrosity is based of an actual Cryptid, and not a mythological creature. Difference between this tremor wannabe and the real thing is that Tatzelwurms are lizard/snake-like creatures with stubby appearance, two front legs without hind legs, and completely covered with scales, and some have claimed it to have the face of a cat and poisonous fumes.

If that’s true.. then why did he start backing away from it and clung himself to Twilight?
That’s not fooling. That’s fearing. Discord was literally and legitimately afraid of that tatzlwurm creature.

Discord could just have been fooling around like he always had.
No, It’s because that thing has 6 eyes, 3 tongues, and a venomous look. Not to mention this worm creature is almost fully dragon sized and was able to jump far in the air. Even Discord was frightened by that thing.
It’ll be fine. As long as they don’t get the subtle message before they reach the appropriate age.
Giant worms and monsters with tentacle were a staple in kids’ shows since forever. It’s was not until when Japanese anime influence came to the shores of the west we’ve began seeing tentacles in such manner.
Why, just because it’s a long purple snake-like creature with a flared head and a spongy pink interior?
I don’t think this show is for kids anymore.. O_O;
