Hey, a mouse must be pretty cheap these days right?
Seems that free-selecting would be easier…if I had a mouse instead of this stupid touch-pad on the laptop.
And keep in mind your imagination is just a starting point. You imagine a solution and then you choose it and elaborate on it. Don’t get discouraged because it’s harder to implement than imagine. Imagination shows you where the starting line is, now you have to run the race.
I mean you just have to get creative and know the tools. Like for the edit you mentioned. Something like using the free select tool (draw a line around the part you wanna select) and cut and paste and move the characters closer together. I mean, that’s just a starting point. You have to learn to trust your daydreams and imagination as a tool. People teach you growing up to ignore it and focus on school work and such, but there’s an evolutionary reason you have a built in imagination.
Brains, I lack. I’ve only learned how to remove coloring and turn the area in it into an alpha channel.
Gimp is like photoshop but free. There are other programs out there but that’s the one I know. As far as the editing itself, well, you’re gonna have to use brains, creativity, and lea arm how to manipulate/draw pictures in general for that one.
I mean to edit the picture, like that one of Mayor Mare and Derpy kissing.

What i do is record the scene i want with a screen recorder, then i dump the frames with mplayer.
