Personally I think it makes them look too human. Given that anthros of any kind have the arms, torso and bipedal stance of a human, the head and feet are generally the most evident features of the animal they’re based on.

Because not enough good artists cater to it in the way that the fetishists want. I’ve seen this with a number of fetishes.
 
I’m not sure whether it’s that the lack of good art prompts crappy artists to try to fill the supply gap, or just that that the low signal-to-noise ratio means that the crappy artists stand out more. Maybe it’s both.

It’s strange…I don’t have a foot fetish, but I’m completely into this “feet on anthro ponies” fetish.

though I am not into this fetish, I am an artist, and I can tell you that the feet and hands are two of the hardest things to draw, so in a fetish based around feet, even an intermediate artist would have trouble drawing it.
