Without any sort of context this is just a “oh great now I have a stalker girlfriend”.
Subtle rape jokes are the best.
Twilight comes home and finds Spike sitting in the dark and weeping softly. She asks him what’s wrong, and he starts telling her about how he told Rarity about his feelings for her, because he was worried keeping it bottled up would hurt their friendship.
Twilight gives him a hug and tells him that he knows rejection hurts.
Spike shakes his head and cries.
