That site has been replaced with a mailing list on Google Groups().
 
It’s not used much, though.

I sent a note about this bug many weeks ago via that tenderapp site. And two other messages later on. I guess none of them went through.

‘Anon’ posting has always given visibility of accounts to site administrators. We, uh, kinda need that to do our jobs.

Besides, as far as I know, mods can still search for you as the sameAnon. And that’s just as well. What are you hoping to achieve?

If you fix this, you will still allow administrators to see who makes the anon posts right?

Should be a simple query to modify.

Meh, I rarely comment anyway and only went anon once to test things. I don’t care what people see me comment but I’m sure others would like an option to hide them.

Y’know what? Given the trouble we’ve had with anons, maybe this is a measure to help combat it, so no one who is established as a user can get away with making juvenile comments?
 
I don’t think anyone here does that, but that’s just a shot in the dark.

Yet it’s still sorta nice that it does. You can catch people agreeing with themselves :D

And, ‘privacy’? I dunno. That doesn’t strike me as a ‘privacy’ issue. If it showed your private messages, your IP? sure. Making public comments, though, seems to be fundamentally opposed to anything private. That’s more an issue related to accountability as tied to identity and the inherent instinct of people to horribly judge one another.
 
If I made a post on 4chan anonymously about something personal, then that’s not private, but no one (aside from those who run the site) could tie it to me.
 
One could argue that it’s just a different form of being private, but I dunno.
