I suggest that in order for a good storyline, you use scenes from Lincoln (1974) or Lincoln (2012).

Princess Celestia always saw President Lincoln as a sad-looking man; his melancholy dripped from him as he walked. His apparent gloom impressed her, and made her have sympathy for him. Lincoln was one of the humans she would always respect.
