Anyway birds don’t just flap their wings, they also pull their wrists in while flapping up
Not in the mlp universe.
There is no such thing as magic. There is only science.
I think they use both magic and their wings to fly. Even if pegasi aren’t unicorns they still have magic. How else could they manipulate the weather, and stand on clouds.
ALSO: for those of you who are going to say “well, if the speed of light is different, maybe there is no time dilation” I can tell you this:
TIME DILATION IS CANON.
Well, the problem is getting near the speed of light.
Relativistic effects really only occur around 10% the speed of light. The fastest man made thing ever built is the Juno spacecraft which moves at 38.89km/s(87000mph). This is only 1/12897th the speed of light, or 0.00775374118%. I’m going to refer you to Scott Manley for more information about what it would take to get to the speed of light. It’s geared more towards KSP and rockets, but it should give you some idea of what it would take.
HOWEVER, there are two things that could work in Dash’s favor:
…wow. Dash is actually pretty brilliant.
Actually, if Dash were to go near the speed of light, the laws of Special Relativity would become apparent and time would pass faster.
Time would pass slower for her than the outside world, meaning that from Dash’s perspective, the outside world would speed up while time would seem to pass normally for her. She would observe spending less time waiting than the rest of the world waiting.
