Well then, it’s never stated to be one way or the other, so we are both just as right about it, if I’m wrong then so are you.
That’s kind of what I was getting at, seems to show that the unicorn had to do something, even a spark, to trigger the vines pollen to make it go crazy.
I still don’t understand why you would assume it needs the unicorn to use magic. I think it’s much more likely that the vines used Sweetie’s inner “magic storage” or whatever you want to call it. It doesn’t require her to actually use magic.
But was that required? After all, the haywire magic continued even after Rarity stopped trying to use her magic.
As for Sweetie Belle, she could have just done something that caused her horn to squirt out some sparks and that was all it took, assuming that she actually had to do anything.
Rainbow’s comment at the beginning of that episode vaguely implied that pegasus ponies start flying really young. Aside from that, Pound Cake displayed a lot of strength, so he could just have really strong wings.
We’ve seen pegasus ponies as young or younger than Scootaloo fly before, so whatever her hangup is, it is something other than just youth.
It didn’t have to be said, it was SHOWN clearly when it happened to Rarity.
I havn’t watched that episode since it giot released, so Im gonna take your word for it.
Did they have a explonation for why Poundcake could fly, or is that just expected from pegasi’s?
I do not remember being said anywhere, that unicorn had to use magic before the vine could do anything. Can you please point me the moment it was actually mentioned in the episode? If not, then what you said was just wild assumption.
Which is why I used the qualifier controlled. Pumpkin’s magic was specifically explained to be random surges that would stop as time passed. Sweetie Belle is too old to get those.
The magic from the vines messes up the unicorns magic, Sweetie had to use magic first for it to go out of control, like with Rarity.
@Pawny.
They said baby unicorns have burst of magic at that age, it’s was only temporary.
What about those pumpkin Cake (Or whatever her name is) She’s almost newborn and could still use her magic pretty good I would say.
Learning to use magic might or might not be linked to recognizing their talents, but Sweetie Belle is still at the point she isn’t expected to use magic.
She indeed did have a spark of magic in Bad Seed but in Princess Twilight she was floating because of the magic from those vines. She wasn’t doing it herself.
But I do agree, nobody pays any attention to Sweetie Belle for not using her magic.
So, it’s not like the idea is anything new, so like I said.
There’s a S4 episode about bullying Scootaloo because she can’t fly
