I figured the last scene here would be of Edgar reaching out and someone (with a pink hoof) puts the last brick into his hands. He sets it into the wall. Pinkie’s voice goes silent. He sighs in relief, turns to leave, and there’s Pinkie. “HI! What are we gonna do next?”
Filled was I with a frantic urgency, filling pale and setting plaster, set about my graven task.
“The disease had sharpened my senses – not destroyed – not dulled them. Above all was the sense of hearing acute.
And in the waking hours, even still til dusk to dawn, I heard the cursèd pony jabbering, jabbering and gibbering in the Great Beyond…
“I heard all things in the heaven and in the earth. I heard many things in hell. How, then, am I mad?” (The Tell-Tale Heart)
Edgar: finally, some peace and quiet
Pink pie then pops out of nowhere
Pinkie pie: HI!!!!
Edgar: OH FOR GODS SAKE!!!
Wasn’t the entire drug thing part of a prank he had someone write as his own biography to publish after his death? Poe was something of a prankster, after all, as shown by his Balloon-Hoax.
Thanks

After doing a paper on the guy in highschool, I keep telling people that but they won’t believe me. Most of the problem with people thinking that he was is because his most famous works are the more macabre that, really, he only wrote because that’s what his audience wanted at the time.

“I’ma fuck you up.”
