I don’t know about you but I can’t really relate to her, I mean any flaw is pasted on to someone else
Canterlot was being threatened with invasion at the time of a royal wedding (the wedding of her niece, in fact). I’m no Luna fanboy, but I’d say her brief appearances in “A Canterlot Wedding” were justified.
And people can bitch about Luna not being in episodes that do not warrant her appearance without getting any crossed looks.

Pretty much this, yes.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I like ACW, but there ARE big flaws in the episode, the lesson being one of them.
It just felt so forced and out of place, like it was there only to be a lesson of the day. All it did in the long run was prevent Celestia from developing as a character.
