Some guy claimed said that years earlier he had pitched Fox a similar screenplay idea and that Fox then paid Alan Moore to write a comic book about it so that it could be turned into a movie without involving the guy.
 
It was so bug fuck retarded that it’s one (out of a great many) of the reasons why Alan Moore hates adaptations of his works.

@Fortune Pretty much that. Both for copyright reasons and most fanfics have some pretty shitty writing/grammar, even the good ones, they’re supposed to ignore full fics.

It was the base idea for an episode and Antonio was a friend of McCarthy and son of a Hasbro Studios employee. Polsky still wrote it.
