Macintosh dragged a house. There was no way Celestia could beat him in a hoof-wrestle unless she also had super strength. Alicorns are supposed to be mary sues embodiments of all three races. Celestia has an earth pony’s strength + the alicorn boost mary sue, hence why she could beat Big Mac.

Amazon goes through one of the other sites that sell them. Also, shipping can be expensive unless you spend $25 worth of stuff, then there’s free shipping but it’s slow. Amazon can be useful, but sometimes it’s a bit of a pain.

I understand the fact that comics aren’t easy to find, since they’re only in book stores(which are dying out) and in specialty comic book stores, which aren’t exactly accomidating to newer and casual readers, but these comics are all for digital download. Not to mention that, much like every episode of the show, every MLP comic has been scanned and posted online to be read for free if you know where to look, like in /mlp/’s near-daily comic threads.

It’s $4 for 10 minutes of entertainment, or $24 per hour. And that’s not counting the cost of going (probably out of your way) to a comic store to get the issue. Granted, if it’s good enough you can re-read it quite a few times to get your money’s worth, but I can understand people being reluctant to part with their money if they’re on a tight budget.
@Mojo
>People are just too lazy to read the comics I guess.
Funny that the same fans who are too lazy to read, say, the Rarity micro comic for 10 minutes are the same people who will sit through an hour or so of that abomination of a movie released two months ago.
I’d like to think that it’s more representive of comic books in general being far less popular than cartoons and movies though. The Avengers is the third highest grossing movie of all time, and millions of kids grew up in the 90s watching Batman: TAS, and yet only of a tiny fraction of those people will ever buy and read a single Avengers or Batman comic book.

Personally, I’ve wanted more of a reason to like Big Mac after his introduction in S1E4. His moment in Ponyville Confidential was close, but ended up being only a joke.
Other than that, the show never treated him more than a walking ‘yup’ and ‘nope’ machine.
Then this comic came along. I fucking love Big Mac now.
@RIG
A shame, and I really don’t get why. It’s not like there aren’t dozens of places online to read the comic for free. Even the comics’ lowest points, like the Fluttershy micro, are still better than some of the show’s lowest points, like MMDW or SAYS.
I know some fanboy will give me shit for saying this but I like this comic and this arc in particular more than any episode of Season 3, even the venerated Sleepless in Ponyville.
