It’d be nice if the silent majority would do something about it, then. I’m tired of there being a large social site where I and others are demonized and classed as being less than human because we have a more open sense of humor or have the gall to criticize an art piece rather than lavish it in blind sycophantic praise.
 
Trying to find a nice Celestia image on tumblr and running into a multitude of posts comparing large portions of the fandom to rapists or to soulless monsters hell-bent on ruining the fandom and the show isn’t really something that promotes any sort of positive environment. There’s a lot more vicious hate, bile and vitriol coming from the “holier than thou” side of the fandom than from the part that just want to get on with their lives.
